Meander’s Fishing Haven
Known for fishing both in the Meander River and Huntsman Lake. 5 October 2024, 2 tagged fish were released by Inland Fisheries into Huntsman Lake. If you catch a tagged fish, it is worth $5000.00. Other Lakes nearby yingina/Great Lake, Arthurs Lake and Lake Rowallan, all receiving 2 fish each (go to inland fisheries service website). Huntsman Lake is also a great place to Kayak.
Waterfall Wonders
There are many in our area. The one most visit is Liffey Falls approximately half an hour drive. At our back door is Meander Falls approximately 6 hour return hike. Chasm Falls approximate 1 hour hike. Montana Falls, Lobster Falls, Westmorland Falls to name a few. Check the Grade hiking rating to see if it is for you.
